Territory Sales Rep – NYC-Based

Genesis Computing is looking for a seasoned Territory Sales Representative to build and lead our presence in the NYC metro market. This is a founder’s seat for the region—a unique opportunity to shape the sales motion from scratch, own key enterprise relationships, and ultimately build a high-performance team around your success.This role is ideal for a top-performing enterprise seller who thrives on building pipelines, running complex sales cycles, and turning white space into repeatable revenue. You should bring experience from leading enterprise technology providers (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, Palantir, Anthropic, Microsoft, Google) and be trained in rigorous, structured sales methodologies (e.g., MEDDICC, MEDDPICC), with formal training experience from companies like PTC, EMC, or ADP.

What You’ll Do

    • Build and execute a go-to-market strategy to penetrate enterprise accounts across the NYC metro region.
    • Own the full sales cycle - from prospecting and discovery to POC execution, business case development, negotiation, and close.
    • Drive technical validation and manage proof-of-concept (POC) engagements to closure, ensuring alignment with customer goals and creating clear business case justifications.
    • Accurately qualify, forecast, and close deals using structured sales methodologies such as MEDDICC/MEDDPICC.
    • Cultivate strong relationships with engineering and business stakeholders, including VP and C-level executives.
    • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, marketing, sales engineering, and leadership to align customer needs with solutions.
    • Represent Genesis Computing at local industry events, customer meetings, and strategic engagements.
    • Prepare the territory for scale by contributing to early-stage hiring, onboarding, and mentoring of future sales team members.

Who You Are

    • 7+ years of enterprise B2B technology sales experience with a consistent track record of overachievement.
    • Demonstrated ability to build a territory from scratch and grow it into a repeatable, scalable revenue engine.
    • Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles at enterprise accounts.
    • Mastery of structured selling frameworks—particularly MEDDICC or MEDDPICC—for qualification, forecasting, and deal strategy.
    • Strong command of pipeline development, outbound prospecting, and account planning.
    • Prior sales training from highly disciplined sales organizations (e.g., PTC, EMC, ADP, or similar).
    • Expertise in value-based selling and business case development.
    • Confidence engaging both technical buyers and business executives.
    • Comfortable using tools like Salesforce, Outreach, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and other modern sales platforms.
    • Grit, resourcefulness, and the ability to thrive in a startup or high-growth environment.

Bonus Points

    • Experience selling platforms or infrastructure in AI, data, cloud, or cybersecurity.
    • Familiarity with the competitive landscape including Snowflake, Databricks, Palantir, Anthropic, Microsoft, and Google.
    • A network of enterprise contacts in the NYC metro area.
    • Leadership aspirations or past experience building and managing a sales team.

Solutions Engineer – NYC Metro

As a Solutions Engineer, you’ll serve as the technical quarterback for strategic accounts—translating business challenges into AI-native infrastructure solutions. You’ll work closely with our Sales, Product, and Engineering teams, as well as directly with enterprise clients to drive adoption, architect solutions, and ensure post-sale success.This is a hybrid role based in the NYC metro area. Think of it as part Pre-Sales Architect, part Field CTO, part Trusted Advisor. You will also play a strategic role in building the NYC territory alongside Sales and have the opportunity to help define our GTM playbook in a greenfield region.

What You’ll Do

    • Partner with Sales on discovery calls, technical validation, and POCs - helping shape clear business value justification for each engagement.
    • Act as a strategic partner in territory development, helping shape pre-sales motions and customer engagement strategy in the NYC metro region.
    • Support deal qualification and technical discovery in alignment with structured methodologies like MEDDICC/MEDDPICC.
    • Design, prototype, and deliver tailored solutions across AI/ML, cloud infrastructure, and data platforms.
    • Serve as the customer’s technical point of contact during the entire sales lifecycle.
    • Lead technical workshops and demos to showcase the Genesis platform.
    • Collaborate with Product and Engineering to shape our roadmap based on real-world feedback.
    • Stay ahead of market trends and help shape our technical messaging.

Who You Are

    • 5+ years in a Solutions Engineer, Sales Engineer, Field CTO, or Dev Advocate role—ideally at a high-growth cloud, AI, or data company.
    • Strong coding fundamentals; Python proficiency required.
    • Fluency in SQL, with Snowflake or equivalent cloud data warehouse experience.
    • Proven ability to speak fluently with both engineers and executives.
    • Familiarity with GenAI architectures, vector databases, and LLM pipelines is a strong plus.
    • Experience working with financial services clients and understanding their regulatory/data constraints is a plus.
    • Bonus: Background in building custom integrations, AI agents, or orchestration pipelines.
    • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science or a related technical field.
